Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru is the Welsh-language national theatre of Wales. Steve Dimmick was hired in December 2011 on a fixed term, 6 month contract (extended twice to 18 months) to manage a complete overhaul of all Theatr Gen online presences. From the theatr.com site itself, to twitter feeds and facebook pages, youtube channels and flickr galleries, Steve ensured the online presence of the company not only improved, but with good reason too. Steve also created the email marketing strategy and advised on offline marketing for many award-winning shows, throughout 2012 and 2013, including Y Bont, Blodyn and Blodeuwedd.
Steve’s work ensured the awareness of major shows such as Y Storm (The Tempest, translated by Eisteddfod crown winner, Gwyneth Lewis) and award-winning Llwyth was heightened, but also that new projects such as Sgint and C’laen Ta! gained new audiences, especially non-Welsh speakers, through innovative use of online video.
All of the work Steve completed was bilingual Welsh-English.
